As we come into Christmas there are many families and people within our community that Christmas is a very difficult time for. The Salvation Army do a great job assisting such people make it through what can be a very difficult time.
This Sunday Sarah Hulme has organised a half marathon run with all proceeds to go the Salvation Army. Starting at 6am from Orleigh Park, West End teams of 2 or 4 will compete in a handicap half marathon with some challenges along the way. Teams can buy their way out of those challenges or try and complete them.
Entries are $25 per person and there will be a free bbq breakfast at the end. Albertos coffee shop has also kindly donated 50 free coffees and there will be prizes for the fastest team of 2 and 4, best dressed and highest points score in the challenges.
The course will be around the River and will be given to competitors on the day. With the BTS XMAS party later that day this is a great way to start the day. If you would like to enter a team please contact Sarah Hulme on sarahhulme@bigpond.com . You can pay for entries on the day but if you have teams already lined up please contact Sarah.

ERNST AND YOUNG CORPORATE RIDE WITH CADEL EVANS

Yesterday we were fortunate enough to assist with the Ernst and Young Corporate Cycling ride where Cadel Evans was the star attraction.

Over the last 6 weeks we have been training their staff and clients for yesterdays ride from Southbank to Siromet Winery at Mt. Cotton. At the end of the ride was a fantastic lunch with all the staff and clients where Cadel mixed and relaxed with everyone.
Also on the ride was Australia's greatest ever track cyclist, Shane Kelly. Shane now has a corporate cycling coaching business in Melbourne and worked with us here in Brisbane to help train the staff and clients of Ernst and Young for the ride.
