WORLDS AUKCLAND 2012

The World Triathlon champs are in Auckland next October and many people are starting to plan and think about what qualifying races they will attend. To help we'll be holding an information session after training on Saturday 24th of September.

We'll an outline a training plan for all those interested in qualifying plus it will also be chance for people travelling to races to look at booking some group accommodation to reduce cost. The info session will start at 10am at a venue TBC.

TRAINING

The season kicks off this weekend with the Kingscliffe Triathlon where we should have between 20 and 30 athletes racing. Additionally there are quite a few doing Bridge to Brisbane to test their running form.

The training over last few weeks have been quite tough so next week will be a recovery week. Leading into Noosa camp and post Kingscliffe it will be an opportunity to recover before the final push into Noosa.

Good luck to everyone racing.

MEDILIGHT PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL & SKIN REJUVINATION MOST IMPROVED FEMALE ATHLETE

Our friends from Medilight have come on board to provide another 12 months of vouchers for the most improved female athlete each month to the value of $95.

The July winner is Amanda Johns who completed our most recent beginner course earlier this year. Amanda has worked really hard over the winter to compliment her natural strengths on the bike to the point where she is already riding with some of the faster male cyclists in training.

The August winner is Krista Page who after completing her first IM at Port Mac earlier this year has kicked on to really work on her speed. Lately at training she has certainly shown some great improvements in her bike and run as a result.

Well done to Amanda and Krista and thanks again to Medilight for their continued support www.medilight.com.au
