BTS Blog 25/5/11

FEEDBACK SURVEY

As part of our feedback process we would love to hear what you think. So we can do things better please take some time to complete our survey on everything BTS.

By letting us know what you think you go into the draw to win a $100 voucher from Aqua Shop. The survey is on the news/articles section of the BTS website at
http://www.brisbanetrisquad.com.au/Articles.php

Thanks to those who have already provided some great feedback and suggestions. Once we have collated all the feedback we'll provide responses on the blog to that feedback.

TOUR DE TRI 24HR 2011 - Mizuno club challenge

We have a new event this year, the Mizuno Club Challenge in the 3 person team category in the 24hr event. This is all about clubs/squads getting together and racing each other trying to complete as many of the 300m swim, 9km bike and 2km run as possible.

The winning team will receive a $600 Mizuno voucher, second a $300 voucher and third a $150 voucher. It would be great if we could get as many club tents there as possible and have a fun competition within the 24hr race.

FACEBOOK VIDEOS

You may have noticed last week a video of Brett from the Aqua Shop talking about goggles and how to fit them correctly and keep fog free. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvFUOe1Xwq8

We'll be doing more of these videos in the future on a range of topics so when they come on facebook tell us whether you like them.

TRAINING

Despite the cooler mornings numbers at training have been okay for this time of year. Typically this time of year is when people take it easy. As I mentioned last week the training reflects this with some easier longer sessions and a less structured approach to training.

For me personally I'll be using this time to reduce my coaching load and take a break of sorts. So over the next 6-8 weeks I'll be doing less than my normal coaching week and having a few sessions off now and then.

Once we get back into more structured training I'll be back on deck on a full time basis and working towards the big events later this year and early next year.

This weekend's session is a long ride (2.5-3.5hrs)from Avanti Plus the Valley with Brad and Ray
doing the Cleveland loop.
